How should the network video surveillance project implement the network environment?
With the development of network video surveillance technology, network surveillance is gradually replacing traditional analog surveillance. Compared with analog surveillance, network surveillance transmits compressed digital signals, and it is necessary to use a switch to establish a monitoring LAN to achieve transmission. How should the network video surveillance project realize the construction of the network environment? What about the connection between IPC and the switch?
Architecture 1: Minor works of 1-8 points
For small projects of 1-8 points, ordinary 100M switches can be directly used to build the network environment. If 2 million pixel IPC is used, the code stream is calculated at 6Mbps, and the bandwidth occupied by 8 cameras is 8 * 6 = 48M, and the actual utilization rate of the 100M switch is 50% -70%, that is, 50-70M, which can fully meet 8 IPC Transmission requirements.
Architecture 2: 9-50 points of small and medium-sized projects
For small and medium-sized projects with 9-50 points, it is not enough to just use 100M switches. A higher-performance Layer 2 full Gigabit switch is required to ensure the smooth transmission of video information.
Architecture 3: Medium and large projects with more than 50 points
For medium and large projects with more than 50 points, a three-layer network architecture is required: the access layer, the aggregation layer, and the core layer. At the same time, because there are many points, the performance requirements of the core layer switches are relatively high. In this case, it is usually necessary to choose a three-layer full Gigabit core switch from a well-known manufacturer such as Huawei or Huasan.
For medium and large-scale digital video surveillance projects, it is recommended to choose Huawei, Huasan and other well-known manufacturers' switch products.
